MIET Student Among the Juniors Para-Skiing World Championship Winners

The Para-Skiing (parachute-alpine skiing) World Championship took place in Vrchlabi, Czech Republic. This is reported on the MIET website. This sport combines two exercises: accuracy skydiving with mountainside landing and giant slalom skiing. Russia was represented by 16 athletes.

The silver winner of the junior competition was Ivan Gusikhin, a EN-16 group student, who is a master of sports and the Russian national para-ski team member. Ivan has been engaged in parachute-ski biathlon for three years and repeatedly became the winner of Russian and world competitions in this kind of sport.

The athlete will also take part in the Russian Para-Ski Championship which will be held in the end of March.
