Zelenograd hosted an international friendly rugby match between U18 team of Moscow and U18 AVS (Afrikaner Volkseie Sport, South Africa) team. U18 category means "no older than 18 years" by international classification.

It was the third match in Russia as part of the Republic of South Africa team tour. In St. Petersburg, they played with the youth team of St. Petersburg; in Moscow, with the team of the Moscow region. Both matches were won by South Africans.

AVS Club has come to Zelenograd for the fourth time over the past 5 years, meeting with Zelenograd rugby club and the youth national teams of Russia.

African athletes won 32:7 in Zelenograd. It was the final point of the tour.

After the game, both teams exchanged gifts, took pictures, talked at the table. The guests were treated to pizza and kvass and invited to eighth Zelenograd’s annual “Snowy Rugby” tournament in January 2019.
