The new resident of the special economic zone Technopolis Moscow will create a complex for the production of electric trucks and components for electric transport at the Alabushevo site in Zelenograd. Investments in the project will amount to 375 million rubles (almost $5 million), said Vladimir Yefimov, Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Economic Policy and Property and Land Relations.
- The company received the status of a resident of a special economic zone in January 2021. The new resident plans to create a high-tech complex for the development and production of components for electric vehicles at the Alabushevo site in Zelenograd, as well as launch the production of vehicles powered by electric traction and hydrogen fuel. The enterprise will invest 375 million rubles in the implementation of the project. Of these, 355 million rubles will be invested in the design of the future complex, construction and equipping with equipment, the remaining 20 million rubles will be spent on research and development activities. During the implementation of the project, the investor plans to create 75 new jobs, - the deputy mayor said.
According to the head of the department of investment and industrial policy of the city of Moscow, Alexander Prokhorov, the company plans to begin construction of the complex during 2021.
- On the territory of about 1.2 thousand square meters, engineering structures, production and office premises will be located. The production of batteries and sets of traction electrical equipment for electric buses and electric trucks, charging stations, electric vehicles for commercial and municipal purposes will be organized here, as well as work will be carried out to create vehicles on hydrogen fuel, - said the head of the department.
The status of a resident of the special economic zone "Technopolis Moscow" allows companies to implement investment projects as efficiently as possible, freeing up resources through savings through tax incentives for property, land and transport.
- Future production meets the needs of the growing electric transport industry, it is focused on import substitution and providing the industry with domestic components. In addition, the developments of the Drive Electro company will make a significant contribution to improving the ecology of the city. In the future, the resident intends to occupy more than 50% of the domestic market for the production of traction equipment for electric buses, - said Gennady Degtev, General Director of the Technopolis Moscow Special Economic Zone.
