Zelenograd company will conduct clinical trials of a complex for rehabilitation after recovery from coronavirus

The Zelenograd company Neurobotics will conduct clinical trials of the NeuroPlay hardware and software complex for neurorehabilitation of cognitive and psychological abilities in people who have undergone COVID-19. The tests will take place in one of the Moscow region sanatoriums from March 22 to April 11.

Neurobotics is looking for volunteers. Test participants will receive a monetary reward.

One of the significant consequences of the COVID-19 disease is stress disorder, which is expressed in impaired cognitive and mental activity of a person: impaired attention, thinking and sleep, increased emotional excitability, aggression or apathy and depression. It provokes alcoholism, drug addiction, deviant, often antisocial behavior. There are also observations of serious physical health problems in people with prolonged stress disorder: decreased immunity, initiation or exacerbation of cardiovascular, gastrointestinal and other diseases.

Vladimir Konyshev, General Director of Neurobotics:

- World experience shows that the most effective methods for correcting stress disorders are methods that restore optimal functioning of the brain, which makes it possible to normalize the mental and physical state of a person. At the same time, their safety and long-term effect are of great importance. All these requirements are met by training using neurofeedback programs and neurointerfaces. Neurobiofeedback ("NeuroBOS") is a priority among other methods of stress management, as it allows you to learn the skills of self-regulation of bioelectrical activity of the brain and correction of your functional state, including psychoemotional and motivational spheres. These skills last for many years with constant use.

The complex consists of a six-channel neuro-headset NeuroPlay and a special neurotraining program that allows the user of the complex during independent training to restore cognitive and psychological abilities after suffering a coronavirus infection. The headset uses a patented dry active electrode technology, eliminating the need for a gel. A person puts the NeuroPlay headset on his head and after a few seconds it will start transmitting signals of electrical activity of the brain to a PC or smartphone.

Further, the complex automatically conducts a series of neurotraining sessions aimed at mastering and using the NeuroBOS technology, and then at increasing stress resistance, improving psycho-emotional and physical condition, increasing efficiency and productivity, developing long-term skills for self-regulation of the functional state of the brain in stressful situations.

Each volunteer will undergo 20 trainings, at different stages of which the researchers will record changes in various psychophysiological parameters.

NeuroPlay neuro-headsets were developed within the framework of the "Assistive Neurotechnologies" project Neuronet NTI. Now NeuroPlay headsets are used for psychocorrection and development of cognitive abilities of children and adults in more than 20 regions of the Russian Federation, as well as in Germany, France, Ireland, England, the United Arab Emirates and the USA. In the near future, similar clinical trials will begin in the UAE and the EU.
